Excellent experience.

The entire experience was exceptional. The hotel itself is right on the beach and the beach stretches for several miles to the end of the island. It is one of the best beaches I have ever seen and is quite well maintained. The room was large enough, with a comfortable bed and a balcony facing the ocean. Breakfast buffet was limited but adequate. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. Overall excellent experience and couldn’t ask for more.

Genuine and thoughtful staff, really pleasant stay!

Great place to stay and great value! Delicious breakfast (decent portions too!) everything is so thoughtful and staff and incredible. Also had BEST experience with their dive team!!!

A lovely and peaceful stay

Pick up from the jetty. Quick and efficient. Even though the hotel is not far, as it's a small island, it rained when we arrived so it helped reaching the accommodation faster. The staff are friendly and helpful and accommodating - easy to communicate and very responsive, both at the time and booking and throughout our stay. We'd been upgraded to a room with sea view at arrival, at no extra cost. Breakfast was good. The bed is comfortable and the room is very clean. Easy to book snorkeling trips. The pool is clean and it definitely is a plus. We went there of season and there aren't many tourists on the island so it was very quiet and peaceful. Which we always like. The TV is not set up once you arrive (it's how it seems to be at other accommodations too), but we told the reception and they made if work in no time. So I can't put this as a fault. Because we don't mind communication before taking any wrong conclusions :) Works are being carried out at the property at the moment, but that was no issue to us. And there was no noise during certain hours, so we could easily have a good nights sleep. We can't fault this either, because it is normal that proprieties need maintenance, improving or they require expanding. It's important to mention this in our review though so that those interested in this property can decide if this is something they can accept or not. We would stay here again.

Athiri Beach is a very very nice guest house in Dhigurah! Rooms are comfortable and calm, the whole place is very clean, Matthias and the whole staff are very kind and helpful, location is great, I had a wonderful stay there! Great place, I definitely recommend it!

What was the highlight of Athiri Beach Maldives

Let me start by saying that Athiri Beach Hotel is the best place to say at Dhigurah and the island is pretty much the best local island in south ari atoll with lovely beaches. We checked other accomodation at this island and only Athiri Beach Hotel has rooms with an ocean view. Food although is reasonably good, its tasty and still the best compared to other places on the island. We tried to eat in all available places, local bar is terrible, other well known place is very avarage. The beach next to the hotel is one of the best on the island, very clean and tidy. Personell is super friendly and helpfull. Our laundry got partially coloured and the manager gave us some discount - very honarable and high standard behavour. Also most importantly this is a brand new place, diving equipment and the boat are all brand new, diving master helped me to do some amazing dives. They have a brand new boat, speed boat all top class. Prices are reasonable. Rooms are clean and modern. We loved our stay in Athiri Beach Hotel. Diving master is a great guy but pretty much everyone was truely friendly. The guy who makes one of the best omelletes has the best poker face ever :) making him smile is a difficult task.

Dhigurah is the most beautiful Island I have seen on the Maldives. 3 kms long, empty white beaches, fantastic lagoon and the hotel is at the beach with the seaview and private bikini beach. A beautiful place at medium price. The room was perfect clean, the balcony faces the ocean. Quiet peaceful place on the Island of our dream. Just a few tourist and beaches from Robinson Crusoe story. It is one of the very few places to which you can get by state ferry from Male - 7 dolars for 2 people, 6 hour travel . Take the ferry on Monday, stay one week and go back to Male on Tuesday morning. Remember there is no ferry on Fridays and Wednesdays and speedboats only run on MOnday and Thursday morning.The hours they give are not 100 % sure so go to Male one day before your flight. Go to Athiri and that is the best of the Maldives at reasonable price.

What was the highlight of Athiri Beach Maldives

Excellent and friendly staff, super nice rooms, its location directly at the beach (not bikini beach which was only 5-8 min walk away) and clean. The place has a nice lounge feeling and it’s really relaxing to just use the sun chairs / hammock and just soak in the Maldivian ocean sounds. We stayed a total of nights in both the sea view and side sea view rooms and liked them equally much (especially since the side sea was on the third floor, having direct access to the lovely roof terrace). Service vice then we got help with the speed boat transfers which was working excellently! Fast and good communication with through booking.com messanger! The trip to the resort island was superb, and the diving trips were really appreciated by other guests that we talked to but we didn’t go on any (we did our diving at TME so we felt that it was enough for our needs). Thanks for making our trip great in Dhigurah/Maldives! And we loved the complementary use of the kayaks! :)

The beds were super comfortable. The hotel itself is really modern and nice with a bikini beach meters away from the hotel.. the food is delicious and the staff extremely nice, friendly and would do anything to assure your stay was perfect!

What was the highlight of Athiri Beach Maldives

This place is just a year old, facility was great, sun deck on the roof top, rooms are spacious, meals were excellent, we are vegetarian and they catered to our needs. I highly recommend full board, there are a few other restaurants, 2 in town which were okay, we didn't try the other hotels, but the one we looked into was pricy. they are right across from the beach, have a bunch of watersports equipment, learning paddle boarding was fun. Owner is awesome, he is always around checking in with all guests making sure everything is good. Dive boat is also new, great rooftop to lounge on when travelling, excellent dive master, also always at the hotel checking in on your needs and requests.

The food was incredible. The cook is like a mastercook, he cooked us always very delicious food. We loved the Athiri Beach House, because it is a friendly, beautiful place with awesome people. Dhigurah is the most beautiful place, where we ever were. We will be back someday...

Athiri is just on the beach, in all the island, is the one with the best position. The staff was really nice and kind and the organization of our transfer from the capital and back was handled without any problem (they booked for us the flights and the speedboat transfer). They organize excursion and trips even to the close by Resort for a 5 stars day. Due to our late departure, they allowed us to stay and use our room for many hours after the normal checkout.

The staff is very nice and owners are willing to do everything to make your holiday better. Rooms are very nice and exeptionally clean. Roof terrace with shower is just super. Locasion is also very good. Diving equipment, boat, jets.. everything quite new. Divemaster was also really nice and super professional. SUP is free! If one must find something negative then Wifi doesn't work very well in 3. floor but i'm sure if this would have been a problem for us they would have changed our room instantly. I can highly recommend this place!
